I haven't drawn in six months. I only code now. I do want to do some art again, especially pixel art and oil or goauche painting.

Despite the hard times(mostly behind us hopefully) and being out of work I have managed to find a new job in flash games.

It is quite daunting as the game I am working on at my job has got fairly large and I am working with the MVC design pattern. This means keeping game logic, data and the rendering of graphical elements completely separate. MVC isn't something I have used before and whenever my hobby AS projects have got big enough to warrant using it I have abandoned them.

It's interesting to think what brought me to using ActionScript at all. Well, most flash developers do have a design or multimedia background. AS3 however, is a fully object oriented language similar to Java or C. So, since 07 there has been a bigger divide between those who dedicate themselves to design, and to development. I believe using AS3 it is possible to create just about anything. We are lucky to live in the technological renaissance and create wonderful and fun things!

I always had a crazy maths mind growing up... and meddled with gamesfactory and klik and play for hours. It took me a long time but I finally got here. It is really nice to find a top notch team I can work with too, really lucky.
